The NUC Women Ordination Rebellion
Judge for yourself... ... is this an example of faithfulness for God's people in The Netherlands, and elsewhere and will this be profitable for the church in The Netherlands and elsewhere ...?On 30 May 2013 the EC of the NUC decided to handle contrary to the delegates vote on Unions Sessions 2012. See here the minutes of the session on this topic, also mark the TED New Bulletin article the day after the sessions 2012, in which the Union's president declares that what is decided; and see the Union's news article about the illegal decision on 30 May 2013.
Mark the discrepancies of the May 2013 decision and the minutes of the discussion on the floor. The motion says "ASAP, AND within 6 months AFTER GC 2015..." - they turned it into ."...ASAP, within 6 months after the Union's 2012 sessions..."
The Union's secretary personaly stated to me that the EC has declared the minutes and even the audio tapes invalid in order to erase the evidence of what was truely decided by the delegates - making void all the decisions of the Session. My experience is that they will persist on going their own way, pursuing their own preconceived ideas and self-directed paths. Even if the Church is severely damaged by it all, and at the costs of many souls, they will not subject themself to higher church authority.
And now, just a day after the monumental vote on GC 2015 the NUC takes the meaning of the Korach rebellion to a higher level.
God's name smeared, the counsles of the Holy Spirit are denied, for He did not gave them what they want, so they insist on being indenpendent and even boast in it. I am very sorry, but I don't see God's leading in this.
See the news item here on Unions website: Online July 10 2015: Translated. Quote “Statement Women’s Ordination Dutch Union. On the 9th of July delegates of the worldwide Seventh Days Adventist Church decided to maintain the current policy with respect to the ordination of women. The head office makes in respect to this decision the following statement for clarification: ‘The delegates of the Dutch congregations have in the Fall of 2012 decided that in our country women ministers will be ordained, in the same way as their male colleagues. This decision came into effect in June 2013 and still stands. The recent decision of the world congress (General Conference Session) in San Antonio does not alters this. Even in the future women ministers will be ordained in the Netherlands. We thank God that He calls man and women to His service. As a congregation we want to wholeheartedly confirm this with the laying on of hands. Posted by Tom de Bruin on July 10 2015.” Unquote.
Before the GC vote people could scoff at those that call this situation a rebellion. But now that the GC Session has confirmed the decision of 1990 and 1995, the word Rebellion can not be ignored. The trees of rebellion have beared fruits!
Spirit of Prophecy says that the end time church experience will be similar to those of the Hebrews in the wilderness. There are many quotes about "on the border of Caanan." God told Moses, already ten times has this people challenged Me! This was the thrid GC ruling in a row; there were another six Annual rulings before 1990. Will there be a tenth time to finish the rebellion and ripen the fruits? We should study the Scriptures about the rebellions that Moses faced.
Here is one sermon about the Mutiny in the camp by Pastor Bohr https://www.youtube.com/embed/3cdAj3xoYz4?autoplay=1 taken from Numbers Chapter 8 and Korah's challenge to the leadership for Moses and Aaron, which God had established. Numbers 8:10 is a quote on ordination that is studied.
We are told that Korah became dissatisfied with his position, PP 395, just like Satan did. He was a Levite, came from the same tribe as Aaron, but he wanted to be a priest, a calling of his own, for God had appointed the house of Aaron alone. Even Moses could never be a priest.
Since our experience will be similar to Israel in the wilderness, we can expect rebellions in the last days.
If we consider WO as a rebellion, we can understand how close we are to the return of Christ.
I say nothing more. For now. 1 Samuel 15:23 says when men persist on walking in their own counsel, they worship idols ... even themself.
The truth on the other hand, is always simple. Those that want to stay ignorant, or turn a blind eye, ... let it be.
God's eyes are not blind and His hands are not short ....
